Response 9.x (build 4020) upgrade instructions:

IMPORTANT NOTES!
        - Response 7.x/8.x users cannot install this update.  You must first upgrade to 9.x.
        - You must be on build 4019 (or 4019.0, 4019.1, 4019.2) or any beta version of 4020 to install 4020.

On the server:

Important: please follow the instructions fully to make sure you have the most up-to-date version.

 1. Get everyone out of Response.

 2. Do a full backup (***VERY IMPORTANT***) of your SQL database
    AND the following directories in "...\colinear\r4w":
	- data
	- programs

 3. Download and unzip the file:
    http://support.colinear.com/download/r9/4020_Update.zip
        4020_Update.zip contains:
                response.vd7
                data4020.zip

 4. copy "Response.vd7" to "...\colinear\r4w\programs"

    IMPORTANT NOTE: before running step #5, open the file \r4w\data\finder.int in Notepad.exe
    and look at line #2.  Make note of the DATABASE_SPACE_NAME.

 5. Extract Data4020.zip to "...\colinear\r4w\data"

    IMPORTANT NOTE: AFTER running step #5, open the file \r4w\data\finder.int in Notepad.exe again
    and look at line #2.  If DATABASE_SPACE_NAME is not what is was before running step #5, change it
    to match.

 6. Run the utility program "chgfiles.vd7".
    NOTE: Running chgfiles.vd7 multiple times will NOT cause any problems.

    In Windows Explorer, go to the \r4w\data directory and double-click on
    chgfiles.vd7 to run it.  A login box will appear when it first starts.
    Enter the required information and click 'Ok.'  This program may take
    several minutes to run. **Multi-Co users should run this program only
    once from the \data\ directory

    Chgfiles may take a while (several minutes) to run since updates are
    made to the SYSOENT (order header) and FINDER tables.

 7. Start Response and test to make sure that everything is working properly.
