Date: June 3, 2005 These are the release notes for Response v8.1 (build 3055) IMPORTANT NOTE! Only Response 8.x users may install this update. --------------------------- --- Enhancements [3055] --- --------------------------- County Tax now supports zip+4 zipcodes. (required compatible data for your state to support zip+4. currently only Ohio supported.) New SQLEncode function was created to fix single quote problems for sql expressions within SPEs. Fields from the VENDITEM table (which carries vendor-specific details for each item purchased from them) can now be used in PO suggested quantity formulas. A new tool for importing Customer Ship-To Addresses was created. Vendor records now support international addresses and phone numbers. Added a Vendor Comments button/access to main Vendors view. Can now import to extended customer and prospect user-defined fields. New option to manually recalculate item prices on an order instead of recalculating all items as they are entered (fixes slow group price break scenarios). External user-defined fields for prospects will automatically copy to customer user-defined fields when converted to a customer if the fields have the same name. Saving how an item was "priced" (e.g. qty pricing, media-item pricing, default, override, etc.) in Order Lineitems lookup (customer service). Enabled Retail transactions for Authorize.Net in Counter Sales module. Merge/purge function added for referrals records (requires referrals option). Can now copy qty price break data from one item to a range of others. Report Gallery supports subfolders. Reverse phone lookup, telemarketing added as options. [v9 beta options] Retry logic added to orbital settlements. ------------------------ --- Bug Fixes [3055] --- ------------------------ Contract+ pricing correct to calculate properly with group quantity price breaks. Authorize.net passes Invoice Number (Order Number) information correctly to the gateway. Address information now displays properly for when the customer lookup list is used in the Counter Sales module. Order Entry - item restriction formulas are now working properly. Counter Sales now respects "Not for Retail Sale" flagged items. The Check-writing module updates checks properly now with Sql Driver v8.1.1.9. The Substitute Items tab in Inventory Items now displays the available quantity correctly if above 999 instead of ###. Backorder Listing - does not report on H, D, X orders or X lineitems. Added export errors button so you can get to both confirm and export errors from confirm manifest screen. WHSINV numbers were not being updated properly when erasing old temporary orders at start of day. Unit cost is now copied properly when cloning an inventory item and the option to clong cost info is checked. Changing the requested ship date in shipto will now update lineitems correctly with the new date. Now allowing "B" status ShipTos to be modified without warning. Fixed some menu shadowing anomalies related to add-ons. Web-Based Address Correction would fail in mailing lists and labels. Can now print personalization data (using personalization option). Checking the discontinued checkbox in Inventory Items automatically sets the closeout field to "N" Item configurator descriptions are now mixed case (used to be all caps). Set_file_field_entry error when entering authorize screen fixed. Salestax report was distributing taxable/nontaxable totals incorrectly for credits. ------------------------ --- Usability [3055] --- ------------------------ REMEDIAL CODING - Database relationships enforced with "soft" relationship finding instead of relying on driver to find relevant records. Identified 2 places in Order Entry where record buffer was sometimes not reliably restored after a search (which could result in customer ID switching on the order). "Salesman" tag changed to "Sales ID" in various places. Completely disabled security system field-level auditing to improve performance and reliability. Order date given "retain" option to remember from order to order, instead of always seeding to the system operating date.
